Abstract

Southeast Maluku Regency is one of the districts in Maluku Province with a high increase. The high increase resulted in some infrastructure becoming damaged, because it exceeded capacity. Apart from that, weather factors and inadequate infrastructure, the development of districts from various situations are the main factors that greatly influence the strength of road pavement. The increasing population, vehicles and interests mean that road pavement cannot carry the weight of vehicles, coupled with the absence of drainage channels, this means that water often stagnates on the road. This research aims to analyze the damage that occurred along Jalan Abdul Rahman Wahid. Road damage analysis uses the Pavement Condition Index (PCI) method, thereby measuring damage to road pavement over a length of 2 km and producing 30 STA. The data obtained was then processed and calculated using the Pavement Condition Index method. After obtaining the damage value to the road pavement, the final step is to determine the recommended repair method for dealing with the damage. The results of this research were that there were 6 types of damage that occurred at STA 0+000 - 02+000, namely: crocodile skin cracks, checkerboard cracks, roadside cracks, longitudinal or transverse cracks, patches and holes, with the level of damage varying from light, medium to heavy. The percentage of repair methods recommended for STA 0+000 - 03+000 is 31.2% recommended for routine maintenance, 40.6% recommended for using patches and additional layers (Overlay) and the remaining 14.3% recommended for construction.
