Abstract

Maintenance is an important activity that ensures equipment and systems function properly in various manufacturing, transportation, aviation, and healthcare industries. The purpose of Maintenance is to minimize downtime, extend service life, and prevent costly repairs. X Hospitalis the largest hospital under the auspices of PT. XY is engaged in health services that has an ultrasound machine in serving patients. Machine maintenance carried out by the company only uses corrective maintenance or the company replaces machine spare parts when damage occurs without carrying out periodic maintenance of machine components. Therefore, the proposed method is a type of preventive maintenance. ACQ Module (Acquisition Module) and Software are critical components of ultrasound machines that are determined with the highest downtime. The maintenance scheduling interval time on critical components of the Ultrasonography Machine found that the ACQ Module (Acquisition Module) component has an inspection interval of 11 days. As for the Software component, it has a check interval of 18 days. The difference in costs between the maintenance set by the company and the proposed preventive maintenance method is Rp. 76,075,735 for ACQ Module (Acquisition Module) components and Rp. 25,647,258 for Software components. The cost savings of the proposed method maintenance reached 32.4% and 38.1% for each critical component. Risk management handling that has the potential to arise during machine maintenance is the repair of ultrasound machines, rescheduling, prioritizing critical patients, referrals to other hospitals, and the hospital will replace with other examination methods.
