Abstract

The development of the construction world has resulted in the increasing need for heavy equipment in construction projects. The procurement of heavy equipment itself requires costs that are not cheap. The selection of the right heavy equipment has a huge influence on the efficiency of construction work. To determine the level of efficiency of heavy equipment, heavy equipment productivity is needed. Productivity is used as a guideline in determining the duration of each job and the cost of renting the necessary tools. In the Waru – Buduran (LJT) Frontage Road and Bridge Construction project with a project length of 3.1 km consisting of 2.5 km using channels and 0.6 km without channels. The study aims to analyze the productivity of Excavator and Dump Truck heavy equipment on the Waru – Buduran (LJT) Road and Bridge Frontage Road and Bridge Project, Sidoarjo and analyze the number of Excavator and Dump Truck heavy equipment against time and cost. The results obtained in this study are for excavator heavy equipment production per cycle of 0.63 m³, cycle time 39 seconds, production capacity per day 321,009 m³, working hours needed 38 days, excavators needed 4 units and costs needed Rp Rp 379,440,000. For dump truck heavy equipment the number of cycles is 12 times, the time per cycle is 14 minutes, the production per cycle is 8,820 m³, the production per hour is 26,082 m³/hour, the number of dump trucks required is 2 units. The cost required is IDR 76,456,000.
