Abstract

A common problem that occurs in a construction project is a delay, which will result in other construction work being delayed. Therefore, to overcome these problems, good management of time, costs and quality is required on the part of the contractor. In this final research assignment, the author will apply the Line Of Balance method to accelerate the implementation schedule for the Central Park Middle East Ring Road housing project. The application of the Line of Balance (LOB) method is one application of the synchronized acceleration method in the Central Park Middle East Ring Road housing development. The Line of Balance (LOB) method is a scheduling method that can be applied to projects that have repetitive characteristics. The main advantage of the LOB methodology is that it provides productivity level and duration information in the form of a graphical format. The use of Line of Balance can make it easy to manage the use of sustainable resources without delays between jobs so that it will provide efficiency in the number of workers and tools on the project. So, after applying the Line Of Balance (LOB) method to the Central Park Middle East Ring Road housing construction project, you will obtain accelerated construction time as well as a graph of accelerated construction time on the planned schedule. The completion time for the Central Park Middle East Ring Road housing development project using the Line of Balance method for 2 pairs of houses or 4 houses is 60 weeks, compared to the initial schedule which was 42 weeks for 1 house unit
