Abstract

Information system is the result of information technology, which is needed and used by various sectors, such as government, healthcare, education, business, and others. Information systems facilitate human access to all necessary information from anywhere and at any time. Schools, as a place of teaching and learning activities, and student development, are expected to keep up with technological advancements. SMAN 1 Adonara Barat has many applicants every year. However, the process of selecting new students is still done manually. This research aims to present a website-based information system used to rank the data of prospective students in the school using the Simple Additive Weighting method. The system aims to determine the weightage used by the school in the process of accepting new students, and it is expected to facilitate the school in conducting the selection and admission process for prospective students.
