Abstract

Arduino merupakan mikrokontrol yang bersifat open source. perangkat pintar ini dapat dikembangkan sedemikian rupa dengan bermacam-macam sensor dan akuator. Salah satu contoh pengembangan yang dilakukan oleh penulis yaitu membuat alat penghitung volume dan berat sebuah paket menggunakan dukungan sensor ultrasonik sebagai pengukur volume, dan sensor loadcell sebagai pengukur berat. Sensor ultrasonik memiliki 2 komponen utama. Transmitter yang bekerja sebagai pemancar gelombang suara dan receiver sebagai penangkap gelombang suara yang di pantulkan ketika mengenai media. Selisih waktu yang terjadi ketika gelombang suara di pancarkan dan di terima kembali, dibaca oleh sensor dan diolah mikrokontroller untuk di konversi menjadi ukuran jarak. Metode pengukuran volume yang digunakan yaitu dengan cara memanfaatkan 5 buah sensor ultrasonik untuk mengukur panjang, lebar dan tinggi. Untuk pengukuran berat paket, digunakan sensor loadcell. Sensor ini bekerja berdasarkan regangan dan tekanan dari strain gauge, ketika beban di aplikasikan badan loadcell akan mengalami deformasi elastis yang menyebabkan terjadinya kompresi dan tekanan pada strain gauge yang dipasang. Dari proses kompresi dan tekanan tersebut strain gauge akan menghasilkan perubahan tahanan listrik atau resistansi. Sensor ini didukung oleh Modul Amplifier HX711 sebagai penguat sinyal karena keluaran yang didapatkan dari sensor sangat kecil. Sinyal akan di konversi oleh Analog-Digital Converter (ADC) menjadi sinyal digital paralel. Dari ADC akan diproses oleh digital interface dimana data digital paralel tersebut diubah menjadi data digital Serial. Data yang di dapatkan dari sensor ultrasonik dan sensor loadcell diolah melalui mikrokontrol arduino, lalu LCD16x2 akan menampilkan hasil yang di ukur. Selanjutnya printer thermal akan mencetak hasil pengukuran ketika tombol cetak di tekan.
