Abstract

Parental attachment is an important basis for children's development in various aspects of life. This can affect the emotional, social, cognitive, and behavioral development of children. The background of this research is that there are still parents who do not have attachment or are not in harmony with their children in Sooko District, Mojokerto Regency. Researchers used quantitative research, with a total of 120 subjects and researchers took subjects in Sooko District, Mojokerto Regency. Selection of subjects using purposive sampling technique. The results of data analysis using Spearman Brown obtained a correlation coefficient which showed the value of rho = 0.335 with p = 0.000; because (p < 0.01). These results indicate that there is a very significant positive relationship between the intensity of gadget use and parental attachment. This means that the higher the intensity of using gadgets, the higher the attachment of parents. Conversely, the lower the intensity of using gadgets, the lower the attachment of parents. The effective contribution of the parental attachment variable to the intensity of gadget use is 66.8 (66.8%). While the remaining 33.2% is influenced by other variables.
