Abstract

This study aims to examine the relationship between peer social support and self-concept with prosocial behavior in adolescents. Prosocial behavior is an action taken with the aim of helping others, both physically and psychologically, without expecting an imbalance. The subjects of this study were junior high school youth who were in grades 7 and 8 aged 13-15 years and obtained 129 respondents. This research is a population study research. Measuring tools used in this study are the peer social support scale and selfconcept scale then the prosocial behavior scale. This study uses multiple regression analysis. The results showed that there was a very significant positive relationship between peer social support and self-concept with prosocial behavior in adolescents (F = 60.767; p = 0.000 <0.01) while partially showing that there was a very significant positive relationship between peer social support with prosocial behavior (t = 4.784; p = 0.000<0.01), and there is a very significant positive relationship between selfconcept and prosocial behavior (t = 5.068, p = 0.000<0.01).
