Abstract

University Library System August 17, 1945 Surabaya was made to reach information for users and as management of the library. In the University Library system of 17 August 1945 Surabaya, it still has several shortcomings in order to provide good service, namely in the management of library collections, the warehouse and the return of library collections which are still said to be manual. This research is a qualitative research type with a qualitative descriptive approach, in data collection an observation, interview, and documentation were carried out. This research will apply the addition of the QR Code feature to a website-based library system that is used to support collection circulation activities independently carried out by members. The design uses the prototyping method, communicates directly and implements it so that the results are as expected. The system was built using the PHP programming language with the Laravel framework. Design and create a library system along with additional features, namely managing collection QR Code labels and collection circulation flows that are carried out independently by members to increase service effectiveness and save library resources.
