Abstract

The level of effectiveness of SIMRS at Brawijaya Hospital Surabaya by users can be known through an initial questionnaire survey using the SUS method which is distributed to the emergency department, administration, inpatient and outpatient care. The results showed that the outpatient department received the lowest score, namely 49 (poor) based on adjective ratings which were considered lacking. This is because many users have difficulty in using it. To overcome this problem, SIMRS requires an evaluation of an effective user interface design to improve user experience, so it develops a prototype UI about outpatient care using figma, makes 2 UI design choices and in testing uses the A/B testing method through online maze testing and divides into groups 1 tested design A redesign outpatient 1 and group 2 tested design B redesign outpatient 2. The purpose of dividing groups 1 and 2 was to measure the level of usability of the outpatient UI design. The results showed that in iteration 1 design A obtained a SUS score of 80 (excellent) and design B as much as 61 (good) based on adjective ratings, the next stage was to conduct short interviews about user experience in testing online maze and get feedback from users in iteration 1, it will proceed to the 2nd iteration stage. In the 2nd iteration, a design was made according to the feedback from a brief user interview in iteration 1 with the result that design A obtained a SUS score of 91 (best imaginable) and design B obtained a SUS score of 80 (excellent). Without any feedback found in this 2nd iteration, the 2nd iteration has fulfilled user needs in running the SIMRS outpatient feature at Brawijaya Hospital, Surabaya.
