Abstract
The need for housing continues to increase every year, especially in urban areas where the population is relatively large and dense, the scarcity of land and the high price of land in urban areas encourages the emergence of slums. Kweden Padukuhan is one of the hamlets located in the Trirenggo Village, Kapanewon Bantul, where most of the Bantul population make a living as farmers and trade/entrepreneurship. Narrow land, then the pressure of high economic needs, coupled with insufficient income, of course, brings its own problems in the lives of farmers. This has not been coupled with urban flows that are increasingly shifting them. Administratively, the Trirenggo Village, of which Kweden is a part, includes urban areas (district cities). But culturally, it is still included as a village community. In fact, the physical construction of buildings (settlements or shop houses) and the flow of immigrants is quite fast and numerous. In developing the potential of the region, the Trirenggo sub-district is planned for the development of services and trade. This means that Kweden is not spared from planning the potential development of the region. This has further marginalized the existing farmers and are still surviving as farmers.
