Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara celebrity worship dan psychological well-being dengan agresi verbal pada remaja penggemar K-pop NCT. Agresi verbal merupakan perilaku yang dimaksudkan untuk menyakiti, mengintimidasi, atau menempatkan orang dalam bahaya visik atau verbal. Agresi verbal digambarkan sebagai perilaku yang melibatkan penggunaan kata-kata seperti ejekan, bahasa kasar, ekspresi kebencian, dan sarkasme. Metode penelitian ini yaitu penelitian kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 205 penggemar K-pop NCT yang tergabung dalam komunitas “Neo City Area”. Penelitian ini melibatkan 124 penggemar K-pop NCT yang tergabung dalam komunitas “Neo City Area” berusia 15-19 tahun sebagai subjek penelitian. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan skala Likert. Alat ukur yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah the aggression scale, skala celebrity attitude scale dan skala psychological well being scale (PWBS). Berdasarkan hasil dari teknik analisa regresi berganda yang dilakukan menunjukkan bahwa celebrity worship dan psychological well-being secara simultan berhubungan terhadap agresi verbal. Secara parsial, terdapat hubungan positif antara celebrity worship dengan agresi verbal, sedangkan psychological well-being dengan agresi verbal terdapat hubungan negatif. Artinya semakin tinggi tingkat celebrity worship maka tingkat psychological well-being akan menurun dan semakin tinggi tingkat agresi verbal pada remaja penggemar K-pop NCT.
