Abstract
PT. Graphic Prima Sejahtera is a company engaged in the manufacture of product packaging. This company implements make to order in accordance with consumer needs. PT. Graphic Prima Sejahtera prints several types of packaging, such as medicine packaging, food packaging, and beverage packaging. The problem with the company still using the finished product storage policy at this time is that the type of product is placed according to a predetermined pallet area. It's just that if the pallet area for this type of product meets this location, then a transfer will be made to another empty pallet location, and goods often occur piled up in the empty pallet area. The empty pallet area also produces a wide variety of products in the various forms of packaging they produce. In this problem, operators often return products according to the form of product packaging. At the location of certain types of products, the available space does not match the number of finished products produced. With such a situation, operators work ineffectively which will result in additional working time for Warehouse staff to tidy up incoming and outgoing goods from the warehouse. The proposed method to overcome this problem is by repairing the finished product warehouse using the shared storage method. The results of this study indicate that the placement process is carried out by arranging storage based on finished products according to the type of product and reducing the initial layout mileage of 418.5 m and the proposed layout mileage of 395.5 m.
