Abstract

Business feasibility analysis is an activity that is carried out to assess the extent to which benefits can be obtained in carrying out a business activity or project and assess whether a business project is feasible or not feasible. The coin laundry business is a business that provides washing services using coins. In this test, it analyzes the feasibility of a coin laundry business in Sawahan District, Surabaya City based on financial aspects. The purpose of this study is to find out and understand whether it is feasible or not feasible to carry out the feasibility of a coin laundry business in Sawahan District, Surabaya City. Based on business feasibility in the financial aspect, the analysis used in this research is Net Present Value (NPV), Internal Rate of Return (IRR), B/C Ratio, Payback Period. This research method is a quantitative method with data analysis techniques with observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis used using Microsoft Excel by testing NPV, IRR, B/C Ratio, Payback Period. Overall the indicators used in this study, namely the NPV, are if the NPV value is positive (NPV > 0) then the business is feasible to run, otherwise if the NPV is negative (NPV <0), then the business is not feasible to run. And the IRR is if the IRR is greater than the prevailing bank interest rate (IRR>DR) then the business is worth pursuing, so if the IRR is less than the applicable interest rate (IRR<DR) then the business is not feasible. The B/C Ratio indicator is if the Net B/C is greater than 1 (Net B/C > 1) then the business is feasible to run, so if the Net B/C is less than 1 (Net B/C < 1) then it is not feasible to run. With this payback period criterion indicator that the smaller the payback period of an investment, the faster the investment will return. Keywords: Coin Laundry, Business Feasibility Analysis
