Abstract

Diagnosing skin diseases in cats plays an important role in effective treatment and management. This study aims to design and build an Android-based application for diagnosing skin diseases in cats using the Forward Chaining method. This method uses facts to draw conclusions. The stages of problem formulation identify the problems discussed, and data collection techniques involve interviews with Doctor Wawan 'Ca Petshop Clinic and literature review. Data were analyzed using qualitative interview techniques, including preparation, reduction, and presentation of data. The result is an android-based application for diagnosing skin diseases in cats that helps owners recognize symptoms and provide first aid advice. The Forward Chaining method is used to track facts with conditions and rules to provide an accurate diagnosis. The results of the application usability test obtained a score of 82 which stated that the application was feasible to use. This research has the potential to contribute to informatics science and practical solutions in the treatment of skin diseases in cats.
