Abstract
This study aims to see the effect of the number of hotels, the number of rooms, the number of tourist visits on employment. This research was conducted in the hotel industry sector in the Special Province of Yogyakarta. This study uses a quantitative method, namely multiple linear regression. The data for this study used secondary data in the form of data obtained from the Tourism Office of the Special Region of Yogyakarta and the Central Bureau of Statistics for the Province of the Special Region of Yogyakarta. Labor absorption is the dependent variable, while the number of hotels, the number of rooms, and the number of tourist visits are independent variables, with multiple linear regression analysis using SPSS version 26. The results showed that together the variables of the number of hotels, the number of rooms, and the number of tourist visits had a positive and significant effect on employment in the hotel industry in the Special Province of Yogyakarta. Partially, the number of tourist visits has a positive and significant effect on employment in the hotel industry in the Special Province of Yogyakarta. Meanwhile, the number of hotels and the number of rooms has no significant effect on employment in the hotel industry in the Special Province of Yogyakarta.
