Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of capital structure, profitability, and corporate governance on the financial performance of financial companies in the insurance sub-sector. The data used in this study are secondary data in the form of annual financial reports which can be accessed through the official website www.idx.co.id. The population in this study were 17 financial companies in the insurance sub-sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange for the period 2017- 2021. The sampling technique used purposive sampling with predetermined criteria resulting in 10 samples of insurance sub-sector financial companies. This study uses Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) data analysis with program tools from the Partial Least Squares (PLS) version 3.0 application. The results of this study indicate that capital structure has no significant effect on financial performance, profitability has a significant effect on financial performance, and corporate governance has a significant effect on financial performance.
