Abstract

The increase in population has resulted in high mobility of operating vehicles, which has had an impact on various problems of congestion, pollution, and accidents. Surabaya Bus is here to reduce this problem by paying for plastic bottle waste. However, there are various criticisms from the public, so now that a new payment system exists through electronic payment, the policy needs to be socialized to the community. The research entitled Communication Audit on the Socialization of the Surabaya Bus Program After the Payment System Change has the aim of identifying problems in the socialization process by the Surabaya City Transportation Service. This study uses the theories of organizational communication and organizational information theory. Qualitative research methods, data analysis techniques with communication audits, and data collection techniques through interviews, observation, and documentation. The results of the audit communication show that a lack of personnel is the cause of socialization activities that are less than optimal. So careful planning is needed as a solution to limited personnel so that socialization can be carried out more optimally and evenly.
