Abstract

Energy is a basic human need to perform activities in daily life. In today's global era, energy is not only used for daily life, but also used in the needs of rapid technological and industrial developments that will encourage increased energy needs. One of the very large energy utilization is electrical energy. Therefore, the supply of energy today is a challenge faced. And along with the development of the era a lot of machine products that can help in developing natural energy one of the pelton turbines. With the existence of these machines, the need for electrical energy by utilizing natural energy will be a solution. This study aims to examine the influence of variations in the angle of the blade with a diameter of 150°, 160°, and 170°. With the variation parameters of water discharge with valve opening ½ ¼ and full opening. From the above research can be concluded that the results of the generator power and turbine efficiency is the largest at an angle of 170° blades and water discharge 0.00035 m3/s with a generator power value of 8.508 Watts and the turbine efficiency value of 17,168%. For the largest turbin rotation is at a blade angle of 170° and a water discharge of 0.00035 m3/s with a value of 463,60. Based on the tests that have been carried out, the amount of water discharge affects the rotation speed of the turbine which makes the generator power value and turbine efficiency increase with increasing water discharge. The angle of the blades used also affects the value and performance of the turbine.
