Abstract

Exploitation of women's bodies is something that has been considered commonplace in films. And the exploitation of women's bodies cannot be separated from the existence of women's bodies which are always seen as commoditized objects as entertainment tools. This Blonde film is one of the films featuring a woman, namely Marilyn Monroe, who is used as an object of exploitation of female sensuality. Which she exploited in her private life and in this film as well, so that Marilyn Monroe has had her second exploitation of female sensuality. The purpose of this study is to find out the results of the analysis of Exploitation of Female Sensuality in Blonde Films in the semiotic perspective of Roland Barthes and also to identify the myths of sensuality displayed on the mega star Marilyn Monroe. The method used in this study is a qualitative method using Roland Barthes' Semiotic Analysis. Semiotics in Barthes' theory basically wants to learn how humans make sense of something, to make sense of something it can be done by dissecting this Blonde film by marking the signs, namely Denotation, Connotation, and Myth. Researchers have found the exploitation of female sensuality in this Blonde film both in verbal and non-verbal forms. And in this film there are 10 scenes that have been found to show signs of exploitation of female sensuality using Roland Barthes' semiotic analysis, namely Marilyn Monroe Monroe has been exploited in real life, and in this film too so that she gets exploited for the second time. Marilyn Monroe was used as an object of sensuality by showing exotic parts, Marilyn Monroe was used as a poster showing a body shape that was bent so that it was a little vulgar.
