Abstract
Community empowerment is a form of government effort in developing the potential possessed by the community so that the community has power. In this case the village government synergizes in growing an independent, aware and confident community through an empowerment program. Community empowerment by prioritizing community participation. In Remen Village there are still people who feel poverty or underdevelopment because the majority of local people's jobs are as farmers. The purpose of this study is to find out and analyze the ways of empowerment carried out by the Remen Village Government through tourism villages. By focusing on six indicators namely Authority, Confidence and Competence, Trust, Opportunities, Responsibility, and Support. Where this focus becomes a guide in carrying out community empowerment programs in Remen Village. The results of this study provide the fact that the community empowerment carried out by the Remen Village Government is well implemented. Through this program the community is given the opportunity to create jobs. The field of work is related to management. The local community is given full rights by the Village Government in managing this tourist village. The conclusion obtained from this research is that community empowerment carried out by the Village Government has a very significant impact on the social, cultural and economic life of the local community. With this program, the community gets additional income from the management of the tourist village. KEY WORDS : EMPOWERMENT, DEVELOPMENT, TOURISM VILLAGE
