Abstract

Technological advances in the process of peeling and cutting potatoes are generally done using a knife, so it takes a long time in the work. Therefore, home production motivated to make a machine that can process well. Indirectly, humans are required to find the latest innovations to simplify and speed up the production process of potato peeler and cutter. This potato peeling and slicing machine is made using the sandpaper method where the potatoes are rubbed against the walls of the tube. Potato peeling runs at a speed of 800, 622, 400 rpm and during the peeling process the potatoes are sprayed with water so that the potato skin peels off easily, while the slicing part uses a propeller method that is moved by an electric motor so that the rotation pushes the potatoes to the knife so that the potatoes come out of the cut tube in the form of sticks speed of 400,311 and 200 rpm. The stripping result was close to perfect, reaching 90. The yield of the cutting tube also gives an optimal result of about 90%. It can be said that the manufacture of this machine is successful.
