Abstract
This research is entitled Legal Protection for the Insured in PKPU Kresna Life Insurance. This research aims to gain knowledge about unexpected things in insurance companies that fail to pay and end up with a PKPU where the policyholder's rights exist because the policy itself is a document contract containing an agreement between the insured and the insurance company. This research method uses a normative-juridical method in which there are several approaches including the case approach, statutory approach, historical approach, conceptual approach and comparative approach to the rights and legal protection of policyholders. The results of this study show that the rights of the policyholders themselves must be protected and their rights are written in the agreement of the contract documents that have been agreed upon. By using consumer protection, especially insurance services, including OJK protection, the consumer protection law, and UU No.40/2014
