Abstract

Generation Z is the generation born in the era of modern technology. Generation Z is believed to have big ambitions for entrepreneurship. Based on survey results from Standard Chartered, 87% of millennials and Generation Z plan to start their own business (Natalia, 2020). This figure is higher than the global figure of 75%. This study aims to determine whether there is an influence of work environment, selfconfidence and motivation on interest in entrepreneurship in Generation Z in Tambaksari District, Surabaya. This research uses quantitative research methods. The sample usedin this study was 100 Generation Z born in 1997-2006. Using a nonprobability sampling method (non-random sampling) with purposive sampling technique. Methods of data collection using a questionnaire. The data analysis technique used in this study is the classical assumption test, multiple linear regression test and hypothesis testing. The results of thisstudy indicate that first, partially the work environment has a significant effect on the interest in entrepreneurship. Second, partially Self-Confidence has a significant effect on Interest in Entrepreneurship. Third, partially Motivation has a significant effect on Entrepreneurial Interest. Then the results of the F test show that the Work Environment, Self-Confidence and Motivation have a significant simultaneous effect on Interest in Entrepreneurship in Generation Z in Tambaksari District, Surabaya.
