Abstract

Pada era globalisasi dan dengan didukung oleh mudahnya berkomunikasi maka sangatlah mudah untuk berkembangnya ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi. Salah satu contoh perkembangan teknologi tersebut adalah teknologi pengelasan, Fungsi pengelasan diantaranya adalah untuk penyambung dua komponen yang berbahan logam. Selain itu fungsi pengelasan adalah untuk media atau alat pemotongan. kelemahan yang dipengaruhi oleh pengelasan.Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis sifat mekanis dan menganalisis struktur mikro pada baja komersial ST41 yang telah dilakukan proses pengelasan dengan menggunakan variasi dan pengujian. Pengelasan dilakukan dengan SMAW menggunakan material baja karbon rendah ST41. Variasi yang digunakan adalah 3 jenis kampuh yaitu kampuh V, I, dan U serta kuat arus 80A,100A,120A. kemudian hasil pengelasan di uji menggunakan pengujian tarik dan struktur mikro. Setelah dilakukan penelitian dapat diketahui bahwa variasi kampuh U dengan arus listrik 100A memiliki nilai kekuatan tarik paling tinggi yaitu 28,9 Kg/mm2 dan presntasi perlitnya adalah 65%. Sedangkan nilai kekuatan tarik benda yang tidak memiliki variasi lebih tinggi daripada benda yang memiliki variasi yatiu 52,8 Kg/mm2 dengan presentasi perlit 57%.
