Abstract

Currently, the development of communication technology is growing faster and faster. This makes a lot of innovations made by humans, including in the aspect of education. In the world of education, one of the innovations used by various universities is E-learning. This study aims to determine the relationship between communication using E-learning and the learning motivation of Communication Science students of the University of August 17, 1945 Surabaya, Class of 2019. The measurements in this study used the Lasswell Communication and Motivation Model. This study used a descriptive Quantitative approach. The population in this study amounted to 292 people, after being calculated using the Slovin formula a sample was drawn in the study amounting to 75 people. Using test The withdrawal of the results of this study was based on the Product Moment Relation Test at p value = 0.000 < 0.05 so that H1 was accepted (0.625 > 0.05) and rejected Ho (there was no significant relationship between E-learning communication (etilag) and learning motivation). The results showed that there was a significant positive relationship between communication using E-learning and student learning motivation.
