Abstract

This research is to find out "framing portraits of South Korean youth bullying in bullying scenes in the Korean Drama "The Glory" Season 1 in episode 1". In this study, researchers used qualitative research with a constructivism paradigm. This research was conducted by analyzing the Netflix drama show "The Glory" season 1 to describe how the portrait of youth bullying in South Korea. Based on the analysis that the researcher has done using the Framing Analysis technique of the Robert N. Etman model by framing the portrait of bullying in adolescents in South Korea which is shown in the scenes and dialogues from the Korean drama "The Glory" season 1 episode 1 through 4 aspects of framing, In Defining the Problem, people in South Korea don't really think religion is an important thing, so religious norms don't become one of their guidelines for life. This is what makes the depiction of scenes of severe bullying that occur in schools. Cause Diagnosis, in South Korea suing someone with something that is not humane is a natural thing for society. One of the factors that can trigger bullying is their economic background. This has been passed down from generation to generation just like seniority in Indonesia. Make Moral Judgment, a bullying prevention committee in South Korea, has weak legal standing because few of them are legal experts. And also with the relocation of the committee, all cases will be handled internally by the school itself unless the case is considered very large so it can be reported to the committee. This actually makes it difficult for victims because it can trigger various injustices in handling cases, one of which is hostage-taking. Treatment Recommendations, victims who find it difficult to get justice are the impact of the relocation of the committee which makes bullying cases resolved internally by the school. And many of the victims finally thought of ending their lives, which is a common action in South Korea. Keywords : Framing, Bullying, Korean Drama.
