Abstract

Organizations require resources to achieve its objectives. Human resource is a resource that is used to drive and synergizing other resources to achieve organizational goals. The ability of human resources is a manifestation of the quality of work of employees in work, human resources will produce an optimal job will be in accordance with the standard of work that has been determined. Especially in the education environment Surabaya Intercultural School Foundation is able to issue students - students who are competent, the performance of employees really need to be improved in order to maintain the continuity of the human resources that exist in the environment is a factor sekolah.Pada research expertise and motivation needed in employee performance improvement. The problem formulation in this study whether the expertise and motivation have a significant effect on employee performance Surabaya Foundation for Intercultural School either partially or simultaneously. The goal in this research is to analyze and describe the effect of expertise on employee performance Surabaya Intercultural School Foundation either partially or simultaneously. The theories used to support the discussion in this research is the theory of Human Resource Management in particular with regard to skills, motivation, and performance. The population in this study were all employees of Surabaya Intercultural School Foundation amounting to 90 employees. The data collection techniques in this study using simple random sampling technique, for taking the sample members of the population was randomly without regard to strata that exist in this population. Data collection techniques in this study using a questionnaire that will be distributed to responeden by providing a set of questions or a written statement to the respondent to answer. The processing of the data in this study using validity, reliability test, classic assumption test, multiple linear regression tests. While the technique of hypotheses and models of data analysis using multiple linear regression analysis using partial test (t test) and using simultaneous testing (test f). and the coefficient of determination. The processing of data using SPSS 23 software. From the results of partial testing using t test showed that the effect of variable membership on the performance of a positive impact on employee performance improvement Surabaya Foundation for Intercultural School. Statistical processing of the results can be seen that the result of the significant value of the expertise of 0.015 smaller than ɑ (0.05) H0 rejected and Ha accepted. This means that the partial membership variable significant positive effect on performance variables. From the results of partial testing using t test showed that motivation variable influence on the performance of a positive impact on employee performance improvement Surabaya Foundation for Intercultural School. Statistical processing of the results can be seen that the results of the significance of motivation 0,000 smaller than ɑ (0.05) H0 rejected and Ha accepted. That is the motivation variable partially significant effect on performance variables. Of relations between the two independent variables (skills and motivation) simultaneously in improving employee performance showed a significant result. So the problems are being studied simultaneously known that two independent variables / free (skills and motivation) to have a positive relationship to performance improvement of existing employees in Surabaya Foundation for Intercultural School. From the results of simultaneous testing of both variables known to have a positive relationship to the improved performance of existing employees in Surabaya Foundation for Intercultural School. From the results of statistical tests to test the value of coefficient of determination (R square or R²) is approximately 0.528, or 52.8%, which means that 52.8%, means that together influence of independent variables on the dependent variable is quite good, showing the effect of 52.8%, while the remaining 47% is influenced by other variables outside this research model.
