Abstract

This study aims to investigate the effect of financial planning and human resource competency on coffee shop business development. Coffee shop is one type of business that is popular in the food and beverage industry. However, coffee shop businesses often face challenges in developing their business. This study uses a quantitative approach with survey methods through primary data collection or questionnaires. The respondents of this research are the owners and managers of coffee shops in several regions. The research sample consisted of 91 respondents who were randomly selected. The data collected will be analyzed using multiple linear regression techniques to test the research hypothesis. This research provides practical implications for coffee shop owners and managers in developing their business. Good financial planning and increasing the competence of human resources must be the main concern in efforts to improve the performance of the coffee shop business. Employee training and the development of an effective financial strategy can increase the competitiveness and success of a coffee shop business. The results of the study show that financial planning has a significant influence on the development of a coffee shop business. Owners who have good financial planning tend to be more able to allocate financial resources efficiently, overcome financial challenges, and make appropriate investment decisions. In addition, human resource competence also plays an important role in the development of a coffee shop business. Employees who have good skills and knowledge in terms of making coffee, providing customer service, and managing daily operations can make a positive contribution to the growth of the coffee shop business.
