Abstract

Problems with paying Motor Vehicle Tax (PKB), which previously required quite a long time, causing long queues, this made SAMSAT of South Surabaya City innovate to form an auxiliary unit in the form of mobile SAMSAT which operates at several points, one of which is Bungkul Park. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of mobile SAMSAT service innovations in increasing Motorized Vehicle Tax (PKB) Revenue, to find out the efforts made by Mobile SAMSAT in South Surabaya City to increase Motorized Vehicle Tax (PKB) Revenue. In this study using a type of qualitative research with a descriptive approach method through the stages of observation, interviews, and documentation, then produced in the form of descriptive data, namely written or spoken words from people and the observed behavior. Furthermore, it is taken into a conclusion of the meaning of the issue. The results of the study show that SAMSAT services around the city of South Surabaya are quite effective, including services using mobile SAMSAT only takes 5 minutes, the distance is close, costs are more economical, more flexible and practical than the main SAMSAT. The conclusion obtained in this study is that the Mobile SAMSAT Service for the City of South Surabaya in an Effort to Increase Motorized Vehicle Tax (PKB) Revenue has been effective, although from the data obtained by mobile SAMSAT taxpayer users it has decreased from year to year, it is not due to the ineffectiveness of SAMSAT Around but due to the COVID-19 pandemic for the last 3 years, namely from 2020-2022. SAMSAT Keliling will continue to strive to provide the best service to increase Motorized Vehicle Tax Revenue (PKB). KEY WORDS : EFFECTIVENESS, INNOVATION, MOBILE SAMSAT, PKB
