Abstract
The results of this study also reveal that the work environment influences the performance of DPU Bina Marga employees in East Java Province. In the work environment (variable X) in the lighting indicator that lights up brightly but is not dazzling and the indicator of music disturbing employee productivity is proven to disturb concentration because as many as 24 out of 58 respondents answered strongly agree with a percentage of 41.38, and as many as 34 out of 58 respondents answered agree with a percentage of 58.62% of respondents agree with this statement. On employee performance (variable Y) in the indicator of completing work with adjusted deadlines and indicators of being able to organize work without having to be given directions by superiors it is proven to be influenced by the work environment because as many as 26 out of 58 respondents answered strongly agree with a percentage of 44.27% and, 32 out of 68 respondents agreed with this statement with a percentage of 55.17%. The conclusion from this study is that the work environment affects employee performance, DPU Bina Marga HR is still not optimal because there are some employees who still need direction in completing work, in this case it is necessary to monitor, and there is music that interferes with worker performance should be removed.
