Abstract

Migration policies from analog to digital broadcasts have been implemented in Indonesia. The migration of analog to digital broadcasts or the analog switch off indirectly makes many broadcast providers try to improve broadcast quality. This applies to one of the broadcast providers, namely Jawa Pos TV. The development of digital broadcasting technology brings a myriad of benefits that can not only be felt by broadcasters, but also by the public who benefit from this digital broadcast migration. Based on the policies set by the government, the researcher used a qualitative research method with a case study approach to obtain detailed data from broadcast providers directly using data collection techniques through interviews, documentation, observation, and literature study. Therefore, this research will look at the strategy used by Jawa Pos TV in improving broadcast quality in the policy of migrating analogue to digital broadcasts. The strategy is seen using the theory of communication strategy which will explain how to plan, organize, implement, and supervise. Through this it will be seen how Jawa Pos TV receives technological updates from analog to digital broadcasts. Keywords : Migration, Analog Switch Off, Jawa Pos TV
