Abstract
Prokrastinasi akademik adalah perilaku menunda-nunda menyelesaikan tugas akademik yang dilakukan individu secara sukarela awalaupun telah mengetahui dampak negatif yang akan diterima. Salah satu faktor yang berpengaruh pada prokrastinasi adalah internal locus of control karena terkait dengan kinerja dan motivasi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara internal locus of control dengan prokrastinasi akademik pada mahasiswa yang aktif berorganisasi di Universitas 17 Agustus 1945 Surabaya, serta pada penelitian ini menggunakan skala internal locus of control dan prokrastinasi akademik. Metode analisis data pada penelitian ini adalah product moment dengan sampel mahasiswa yang aktif berorganisasi di Universitas 17 Agustus 1945 Surabaya sebanyak 182 orang. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan besarnya koefisien korelasi antara variabel internal locus of control dengan prokrastinasi akademik sebesar -0,472 dengan p=0,000 (p<0,01) artinya ada hubungan yang negatif dan sangat signifikan antara internal locus of control dengan prokrastinasi akademik. Artinya, semakin tinggi internal locus of control maka semakin rendah prokrastinasi akademik, serta semakin rendah internal locus of control maka semakin tinggi prokrastinasi akademik.
