Abstract

The development of the world of construction in this era has resulted in the increasing use and need for heavy equipment in every construction job. In the field of civil engineering, heavy equipment is used to assist humans in carrying out the work of constructing building structures. The problem that occurred in the construction of the Nganjuk 57 guest house hotel is the lack of analysis of operational costs for heavy equipment for earthworks and the frequent occurrence of heavy equipment idleness while earthworks for embankments and excavations have not been completed, so what must be calculated in the problems above is the time and operational costs of using heavy equipment. For the method used to analyze the time and operational costs of heavy equipment, the authors use the simplex qualitative method, namely research that seeks to explain problem solving based on data that will be obtained in the field. From the results of the calculations that have been carried out, it can be concluded that the duration of time required for excavation and embankment work is 43 days and for the total operational costs incurred in excavation and embankment work is Rp. 33,372,420 Keywords: Operational costs, heaps and heavy equipment
