Abstract

In an era like today, science and technology is developing very rapidly and greatly affects humans in all developing countries as well as in developed countries. Therefore, along with the times, humans are trying to create equipment and techniques that can simplify and improve the processing and delivery of information, so as to produce fast and accurate information. Of the many technologies, the computer is one tool to assist in perfecting the processing and delivery of information. Computer technology can facilitate various activities, to produce information as a support in decision making, besides that the integrity of the data is more guaranteed. In a company the role of computers is needed, it is inconceivable if in a developing company there is no computer. In reality, humans have several shortcomings in processing data, including in terms of limited time, accuracy and memory to process very large and complicated data, so it cannot be denied that the role of computers in a company is very much needed because with the role of computers, it will accelerate the work process more quickly. faster, more precise and accurate results Therefore, in supporting the performance of the company or agency, what is needed at the port of Pelubelo Wangi - Wangi is to carry out updates that can be improved, this concerns the payroll section. The payroll section really needs a computerized system in order to support a good payroll process for its employees (labor). The existing payroll system at the Pelsbuhello port is still done manually, namely recording employee data to making salary slips using the Ms. application. Excel.With these problems, a solution is needed to regulate the employee (Labour) payroll information system at the Pelubelo Port. In this research, a method called TOPSIS (Preference Technique For Order by Similarity to Ideal Solution) will be used, it is hoped that this method can help process employee data (labor) in the process of calculating salary slip reports so that it becomes more accurate and efficient. . This study will discuss the analysis and design of an information system that will later be used as the implementation of employee (labor) payroll at the port of Pelubeo Wangi - Wangi..
