Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze how and what constraints affect work discipline in improving the performance of employees of the Office of Women's Empowerment, Child Protection, and Population in East Java Province. The method used in this research is qualitative, which is described in detail through interviews with informants. This study uses two kinds of data sources, namely primary data sources and secondary data sources. The data was analyzed descriptively and qualitatively in a way; the data that has been obtained from the results of observations, interviews, and documentation has been properly processed into an information tool that can draw conclusions. The results of the study show that the level of employee discipline is quite good. It can be seen from the indicators used through in-depth interviews with informants that positive results were achieved, even though they were inseparable from some shortcomings. In the future, it is hoped that the leadership will be able to provide strict sanctions to give a deterrent effect to employees who are not disciplined.
