Abstract

The more developed an industry, the company certainly wants work productivity to be better and will increase production. With a workforce that is less than optimal at work will greatly affect the productivity itself. UD Bintang Timur was established in 1988 – now it is located in Palem Watu Village, Rt 03, Rw 02, Gempol Kurung, Menganti, Gresik. UD Bintang Timur produces production equipment in the form of Grated Coconut Machines, Chicken Feather Removal Machines, and Rice Thresher Machines. Production equipment at UD Bintang Timur includes Lathes, Drill Bits, Welding, Painting, Hand Mills, Seated Grinders, Almini Cutters, and Grinding Benches. Currently, workers at UD Bintang are still working with uncomfortable facilities and postures while working. Therefore the aim of the researchers is to design a work facility improvement plan based on the evaluation results using the QEC and REBA methods. The Quick Exposure Check (QEC) and Rapid Entry Body Assessment (REBA) work posture methods are used to further analyze musculoskeletal complaints and also take more into account the conditions experienced by workers from two points of view, namely from the observer's point of view and from the observer's point of view. point of view of the workers themselves, so as to minimize the existing subjectivity.
