Abstract

With the development of technology, searching for information is becoming easier. The types of goods that can be traded are also increasing; smartphones are one of them. Smartphones are one of the things that are needed in this digital age. However, because of the many types of smartphones that exist today, many people find it difficult to choose one according to their needs. Even smartphone sellers sometimes find it difficult to recommend smartphones that suit the needs of buyers. In general, prospective smartphone buyers will search for smartphone specifications only with keywords, but the results that appear are often not as expected. This causes confusion in the process of buying and selling smartphones. This application uses the K-Nearest Neighbor algorithm with fields of RAM capacity, battery capacity, internal memory capacity, and camera quality to recommend smartphones based on user needs. The results of this test are accuracy with a value of 0.95, precision with a value of 0.94, recall with a value of 0.97, and an f-measure value of 0.95.
