Abstract

Along with the times, Indonesian culture is increasingly being rivaled by popular culture from abroad. The 1950s are estimated to be the year when the cloth culture fades for the Indonesian people. Until 2017, there was an organization that wanted to evolve and revolutionize Indonesian cultural arts so that young people could be interested. The organization is Swara Gembira. In order to realize this goal, Swara Gembira has shared a message to wear cloth as a dress attribute. The message was conveyed through their artwork and several social media content that they created, one of which was on Instagram social media. Departing from this background, this research discusses how the influence of the content of the Instagram account @swaraharga on the interest of followers in cloth. This research is a descriptive quantitative type that presents data in the form of numbers and describes it through analysis with statistical testing. Quantitative research is method that is used to examine specific populations or samples whose data is collected using research instruments. The data is quantitative/statistical, with the aim of testing the established hypothesis. The results of this research conclude that the content of the Instagram account @swaraharga has a moderate influence on the interest in cloth of followers. In another test, the content of the Instagram account @swaraharga simultaneously affected the interest of the followers by 16.7%. The lack of references regarding interest in cloth makes the researcher suggest that other researchers can carefully dig deeper into information about interest in cloth, and can conduct research on factors that can influence interest in cloth.
