Abstract

Gudang merupakan salah satu penunjang dan bagian penting dari suatu sistem produksi. Kondisi dan pengaturan yang baik dalam gudang diharapkan menghindari kerugian perusahaan, meminimalisasi biaya yang terjadi, serta mempercepat operasional dan pelayanan gudang. Gudang harus rancang agar mempermudah dan mempercepat pencarian barang didalam gudang sehingga dapat merugikan perusahaan. Fenomena ini terjadi pada gudang penyimpanan di TOKO GROSIR LAUT GEDHE khususnya pada gudang pusat. Tidak adanya penataan yang pasti dan rak menyebabkan terjadinya pencarian barang memakan waktu yang lama dan membuat proses produksi menjadi tidak maksimal. Hal ini yang mendasari perlunya dilakukan perancangan dan penataan ulang terhadap terhadap gudang penyimpanan barang serta penyimpanan yang sudah ada. Adapun metode-metode yang dilakukan diantaranya metode class based storage dan pembuatan rak usulan untuk mengurangi waktu dan jarak kerja setiap harinya. Hasil yang didapat berupa pembuatan Layout baru yang lebih efisien waktu sebesar 26,73% dan tercipta 12 rak usulan.
