Abstract

In recent years the use and utilization of composite materials has been growing rapidly Composite is a material made from a combination or mixture of two or more materials that are not homogeneous and the forming materials themselves have their own characteristics and properties which when combined will produce different properties and characteristics as well. In the polypropylene composite with coconut shell powder as filler which goes through a process of sieving using 200- 250 mesh. Furthermore, the separated powder is washed with water at 80°C to remove dirt and dust, the powder is then dried using an oven at 110°C for the next process. is to heat polypropilane at 170°C, then add coconut shell powder with 10% presetation then stir at a speed of 20 Rpm, for 10.20.30 minutes, and 30 Rpm for 10,20,30 minutes, 40 Rpm for 10-20-30 minutes, then printed with a force of 25 kgf/cm2 The dimensions of the specimen used are ASTM D638-03, a tensile test will be carried out from the specimen that has been formed, impact test, and fracture morphology using SEM after testing, the highest tensile stress results were obtained, namely 26.9 MPa at a stirring speed of 40 Rpm with a stirring time of 10 minutes, and the lowest was 17.47 MPa at a stirring speed of 20 Rpm with a stirring time of 10 minutes Keywords: polypropylene composite, coconut shell powder, tensile test, impact test, SEM analysis.
