Abstract
K-pop music has a very influential role in the world of entertainment where the kpop genre penetrates the international market, the Korean music industry or what is commonly called an agency where each agency has its own standards in determining trainees who pass auditions. The trainees who pass the audition will undergo training in vocal, dance, acting skills, and learn several foreign languages. Not a few South Korean idols do plastic surgery to make them look more beautiful and have visual standards that are in demand by the general public. This study aims to determine the message of post-feminism in the lyrics and scenes in the video clip of aespa – savage, by using qualitative methods and John Fiske's semiotic analysis approach and using the theory of television codes (The Codes of Television), namely the level of reality, the level of representation, and the level of ideology. The results of this research analysis show that there is a post-feminism message in the lyrics and scenes in the aespa – savage video clip. This can be seen in how women get a freedom of expression which can be interpreted that women have the life choices they want and not to be regulated.
