Abstract

The city of Surabaya is one of the second largest cities in Indonesia after Jakarta. Surabaya as a metropolitan city which has a population of about 10 million people. Experiencing serious problems in traffic, namely congestion. Road infrastructure is one of the congestion factors, so optimization is needed. For example, at an unsignalized intersection, which has heavy traffic, especially during the morning peak and afternoon peak hours. As happened at the intersection of Jl. Raya Mastrip and Jl. Jemb. Throughout Baru, which is an intersection of type 322, has 3 arms. Geometric intersection Jl. Raya Mastrip and Jl. Jemb. Throughout Baru, it can be seen that the width of the road is 7 meters with 2 lanes with a width of 3.5 meters each without a road median. being one of the intersections in the city of Surabaya, it has a fairly high activity, during rush hours the traffic on this road is very dense, especially around 07.00 – 10.00 and 16.00 – 18.00 WIB. Much of this is due to the presence of road 2 vehicles and commercial trucks from outside the city to the city of Surabaya, which start their activities in the morning and when they come home from work. Which causes frequent congestion high volume of traffic. Jl. Raya Mastrip and Jl. Jemb. Throughout Baru itself is an area adjacent to shopping centers, shops, retail, etc. The method used in this analysis is the Indonesian Road Capacity Manual (PKJI) which was published in 2014 which is an improvement from the old version, namely the Indonesian Road Capacity Manual (MKJI) which was published in 1997 which is used as a guideline or reference in planning, designing, and implementing activities. evaluation of the capacity of the intersection,. The term junction capacity used in this manual was previously called unsignalized intersection. The results of the calculation of the volume of traffic flow at the intersection of Mastrip Road and Jemb. Sepanjang Baru Road. Obtained on Friday 9 April 2021 with peak conditions at 08.00 – 09.00 obtained qTOT = 14128kend/hour and 4883 cur/hour. The value of the Intersection Capacity (C) obtained a value of = 2593 cur/hour. The delay obtained is = 21 sec/cur. The volume of traffic flow (q) and the value of the Intersection Capacity (C) at peak hours obtained the value of Dj = 1.9. From the results of the calculation of the degree of saturation (Dj) the results of the calculation of the lower limit and upper limit of the queue probability were obtained by PA = 33% - 77%. Based on the characteristics of the level of service or Level Of Services (LOS), the results of the above calculation are obtained from the degree of saturation of the intersection of Jalan Raya Mastrip and Jalan Jemb.
