Abstract
One of the metal connecting techniques is the TIG welding method (Gas Tungsten Arc Welding). By using the welding techniques, we can connect metals such as: aluminum, copper, carbon steel, stainless steel. The purpose of this research is to find out how much influence the TIG welding method has on the mechanical properties,and welded joints of STKM 11A steel material. Welding is done by TIG method with filler HTW-50,variation of current,and welding speed . The test method used is tensile test with Tensile Strength, and also practicing TIG welding directly so we can know how to weld using the type of TIG welding. The results of this study are expected to prove that TIG welding is as expected. Kata kunci: STKM 11A Baja Steel, TIG Welding, Variation of current, welding sped, Tensile streght
