Abstract

The study aims to determine and examine the effect of the accounting system, accounting competence, transparency and accounting supervision on the potential misuse of village funds in Candi District, Sidoarjo Regency, East Java. This type of research is quantitative. The population in this study was the village hall apparatus and staff in several villages in Candi District, amounting to 90 people. The method used for sample collection in this study is using probability sampling with the type of simple random sampling. The data analysis technique used is multiple linear analysis. The results of this study indicate that the accounting system, transparency, and accounting supervision have no effect on the potential for misuse of village funds, while the accounting competence has an effect on the potential for misuse of village funds.
