Abstract
Plastics are survivingly shifting glass, wood, and metals, in other respects coal base ash is a fairly cheap material. Composite materials are one of the materials that are widely used today. This is because composites have light and relatively strong properties. The development of composite materials is currently developing rapidly, especially composites with polymer matrix which are used as metal replacement materials. Coal base ash is industrial waste from the residual burning of coal that is only stockpiled in the factory area (Ash disposal), the buildup of it can be a problem in the environment. The method is experimental, with the stages of making composites, namely mixing coal base ash with a size (mesh) of 50-100, 100-150, 150- 200, 200-250, in polymer matrices with a difference in content (weight percentage) of 90% Polypropylene and 10% coal base ash. The next stage is mixed... it is fed into a mixer heated at a temperature (110°C), then stirring the composite material at a speed of 30 rpm for 20 minutes, then poured into the mold.
