Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara persepsi transformasional leadership dengan work engagement dan basic psychological needs sebagai mediator pada karyawan yang sedang bekerja pada new normal yang menggunakan sebanyak 150 sampel penelitian. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dan jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian regresi linier berganda yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh variabel bebas terhadap variabel terikat. Selain itu akan dilakukan uji moderated regression analysis (MRA) untuk mengetahui hubungan antara persepsi transformasional leadership dengan work engagement dan basic psycological needs sebagai mediator pada karyawan yang bekerja pada saat new normal. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik probability sampling. Berdasarkan hasil analisis moderated regression analysis (MRA) yang dilakukan, diperoleh nilai R Square = 0,765 dengan signifikansi 0,000 (p < 0,05) yang artinya, setelah adanya variabel moderasi (basic psychological needs) pengaruh hubungan antara persepsi transformational leadership dengan work engagement meningkat menjadi 76,5%. Sebelum adanya variabel moderator hasil analisis menunjukan nilai R Square dari pengaruh hubungan antara persepsi transformational leadership dengan work engagement adalah 0,443 yang artinya hanya 44,3%. Hasil sumbangan efektif pada kedua variabel bebas yaitu variabel persepsi transformasional leadership dan basic psycological needs terhadap work engagement karyawan yang bekerja pada new normal adalah sebesar 75,74% dimana kontribusi dari persepsi transformasional leadership terhadap work engagement sebesar – 4,99% dan kontribusi dari basic psycological needs terhadap work engagement sebesar 80,73%.
