Abstract
This study aims to examine the effect of external locus of control, turnover intention, task complexity, and time budget pressure on dysfunctional audit behavior. This research was conducted on auditors who work in Public Accounting Firms in the city of Surabaya with a total sample of 65 respondents. The hypothesis in this study was tested using multiple linear regression analysis which was processed through the IBM SPSS statistics version 25 program. The results of this study indicate that task complexity has an effect on dysfunctional audit behavior. Meanwhile, external locus of control, turnover intention, and time budget pressure have no effect on dysfunctional audit behavior.
