Abstract
Manga yaoi adalah salah satu genre manga yang memiliki tema dan fokus cerita pada kisah romansa percintaan sesama pria. Fujoshi merupakan istilah/sebutan bagi wanita yang menggemari anime, manga, shounen-ai dan yaoi. Karakter Seme seringkali ditampilkan sebagai stereotip laki-laki dalam kultur anime dan manga: kalem, kuat secara fisik, dan/atau protektif. Seme biasanya memiliki rahang yang lebih kokoh, rambut yang lebih pendek, dan penampilan yang lebih maskulin daripada uke. Penelitian ini memiliki tujuan yaitu untuk mendeskripsikan persepsi “karakter seme dalam manga yaoi” menurut fujoshi Indonesia dan untuk mendeskripsikan alasan untuk melatar belakangi fujoshi Indonesia menyukai karakter seme pada manga yaoi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Deskriptif, Kualitatif dan Kuntitatif. Sedangkan pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah psikologi sosial dengan kuesioner atau angket sebagai bahan pengumpulan data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar fujoshi di Indonesia membaca manga yaoi dan mengetahui karakter seme yaitu lebih dari 90%. karakter seme yang paling di sukai oleh para fujoshi Indonesia dari manga yaoi yang cukup terkenal paling banyak diminati adalah sebanyak 25,6% memilih Kousuke ohshiba dari manga Hitorijime My Hero oleh Memeco Arii. Faktor yang melatar belakangi para fujoshi menyukai karakter seme dikarenakan karakter tersebut cocok dengan selera para fujoshi Indonesia sebanyak 38,5%, diikuti dengan sifat karakter 23,5%, ketampanan karakter 21,5% dan yang terakhir perilaku karakter seme tersebut 16,5%. Karakter seme yang paling banyak peminat adalah 79,2% romantic seme yang memiliki sifat pintar, jujur, sederhana, baik dalam makanan, seni dan berpakaian. Penampilan mereka kadang memberi kesan susah didekati, padahal seorang Romantic seme sangat peduli dan hanya ingin memberi cinta dan perlindungan. Selain itu, ada karakter seme yang kurang di minati oleh para fujoshi Indonesia adalah 51,2% sadistic seme yang terkenal dengan sifat arogan, perfeksionis, mementingkan diri sendiri. Kekurangan Sadistic seme ada pada kekuatan dan pengendalian diri mereka yang terkadang dipaksakan untuk mendapatkan apa yang di inginkan, lalu mewujudkan keinginan mereka itu tanpa belas kasihan.
