Abstract

An office building is one of the buildings that consumes high electrical energy. In general, the lighting system and air conditioning system are the causative factors of the inefficient use of electrical energy in the PT.Sumber Mas Indah Plywood building. Based on the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources of the Republic of Indonesia No. 13 of 2012 concerning saving electricity consumption, it is necessary to manage electrical energy so that the intensity of electrical energy consumption can be managed properly and can be more efficient. In this study, an audit of the lighting system and air conditioning system was carried out and in this study used the energy audit method by calculating the Energy Consumption Intensity (IKE) value for the electrical energy efficiency process. From the calculation of the initial energy audit obtained the results of the IKE value in the PT. Sumber Mas Indah Plywood is 245.46 kWh/m2/year, this value exceeds the ASEAN-USAID standard of 240 kWh/m2/year. After energy conservation is done by replacing CFL lamps with LEDs in the lighting system and using inverter AC in the air conditioning system, the IKE value after conservation is 233.6 kWh/m2/year.
